One lucky ticket matched all five numbers drawn winning the $146,344 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the Monday, Aug. 21 drawing.
The winning numbers were: 02, 12, 31, 42 and 43 and the XTRA number was: 02. The lucky retailer that sold the winning ticket is 7-Eleven #32947 (S), 1681 Lakewood Rd., Toms River in Ocean County.
Executive Director Carole Hedinger said, “We are thrilled that the winning jackpot ticket was sold at 7-Eleven #32947 (S). The retailer will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for selling the winning ticket. Overnight, they have become one more ‘lucky location’ for the very fortunate lottery winner.”
Executive Director Carole Hedinger announced that there were 296,564 tickets purchased for the drawing. By adding XTRA, for an additional $1.00 per play, winners are able to multiply their non-jackpot prizes by the XTRA number drawn. For correctly matching four of the five numbers drawn, 40 ticketholders won $665 each and 4 others won $1,330 each with the addition of XTRA.
Moreover, for correctly matching three of the five numbers drawn, 1,564 ticketholders won $17 each and 256 others won $34 each with the addition of XTRA. Lastly, 3,345 ticketholders each won $2 for correctly matching two of the five numbers drawn with the addition of XTRA on their purchase.
