One lucky ticket matched all five numbers drawn winning the $765,311 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the Wednesday, March 20th drawing.
The winning numbers were: 01, 04, 14, 15 and 30 and the XTRA number was: 03. The lucky retailer that sold the winning ticket is National Food Store, 75 Bleecker St., Jersey City in Hudson County.
Acting Executive Director James Carey said, “We are thrilled that the winning jackpot ticket was sold at National Food Store. The retailer will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for selling the winning ticket. Overnight, they have become one more ‘lucky location’ for the very fortunate lottery winner.”
Carey announced that there were 748,580 tickets purchased for the drawing. By adding XTRA, for an additional $1.00 per play, winners are able to multiply their non-jackpot prizes by the XTRA number drawn. For correctly matching four of the five numbers drawn, 136 ticketholders won $467 each and 22 others won $1,401 each with the addition of XTRA.
Moreover, for correctly matching three of the five numbers drawn, 4,983 ticketholders won $14 each and 809 others won $42 each with the addition of XTRA. Lastly 9,120 ticketholders each won $2 for correctly matching two of the five numbers drawn with the addition of XTRA on their purchase.
