The National Night Out event is just around the corner, and the entire community is invited to join the honorable Mayor, Tony Vauss, the Irvington Township Municipal Council and Police Director Tracy Bowers in this exciting celebration.

Township officials say the event will be held on August 1 from 5-9 pm at 1 Civic Square.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer and better places to live.

It provides a unique opportunity for residents to come together and meet with their local law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS, and other emergency services personnel.

Mayor Vauss has always strongly advocated for community engagement and building partnerships within the township. Events like the National Night Out help foster a sense of unity and cooperation among residents and public safety officials.

Township officials said the event promises an evening of fun and excitement for the whole family.

'Heavy Hitting' master DJ Qua will be on hand to keep the crowd moving and grooving to the beat. Delicious food, refreshing drinks, and various giveaways and prizes will also be available, adding to the festivities.

Detective Lieutenant Brandis Puryear at 973-399-4558 and Detective Lieutenant Leah Edrington at 973-399-6643 are the contacts for more information about the event. They will be more than happy to answer any questions and provide further details.

Mayor Vauss said he extends his heartfelt gratitude to all the sponsors who contributed to this event. Their generous support has significantly ensured that the National Night Out in Irvington will be a resounding success.

"Together, we can continue to build a safer and more vibrant township for everyone," Mayor Vauss said.
