Authorities in Irvington are investigating a shooting that sent one person to the hospital early this afternoon in the township.
The shooting happened on Florence Avenue and Clinton Avenue sometime after 3 p.m. where cops were called to the scene for reports of shots fired.
Arriving units located a vehicle struck by gunfire at that location.
The extent of the victim's injuries are unknown at this time.
Police setup a crime scene where they detoured traffic in the area and searched for evidence.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
