Irvington Police are actively searching for a suspect involved in a shooting incident that left one person injured on Wednesday evening.
The gunfire broke out on Grove Street, between 18th Avenue and 17th Avenue, shortly before 7 p.m., drawing a significant police presence to the area.
Upon arrival, officers discovered an unidentified person suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was promptly transported to University Hospital in Newark, though details on their condition have not yet been released.
Police conducted a thorough search of the scene, collecting evidence and investigating possible motives behind the shooting. Authorities have confirmed no additional injuries were reported.
The investigation remains ongoing as police work to identify and locate the suspect.
