The Honorable Mayor Tony Vauss of Irvington, New Jersey, alongside his brother Christopher Bembry and their family, has announced the funeral arrangements for their late mother, Dorothy Jean Vauss.
During this period of mourning, the family has expressed their deep appreciation for the overwhelming support and comforting messages they have received.
Expressing his gratitude, Mayor Vauss specifically thanked Governor Phil Murphy and First Lady Tammy Murphy, County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr., NJDSC Chairman LeRoy J. Jones Jr. and First Lady Jackie Jones, as well as the members of Team Irvington Strong.
He also acknowledged the kindness of Mayors Baraka, Green, Warren, and Vertreese, along with all state, county, and local elected officials for their support in these trying times.
Mayor Vauss has been particularly touched by the support from the residents of Irvington, noting their unwavering kindness and thoughtfulness.Reflecting on his mother’s life, Mayor Vauss shared that the celebration of her life was filled with cherished memories and a legacy that will endure. He finds comfort in believing that she is now free from pain.
The Vauss family invites friends, well-wishers, and community members to join in celebrating the life of Dorothy Jean Vauss.
