Irvington Marks 10 Years of Thanksgiving Generosity with Free Turkey Giveaway

The Township of Irvington is set to celebrate a decade of giving back with its 10th Annual Thanksgiving Free Turkey Giveaway on November 26, 2024.

The event, organized by Mayor Tony Vauss in partnership with the Irvington Municipal Council, will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Transcend Worship Center, located at 971 Clinton Avenue.AdMayor Vauss, known for his dedication to the Irvington community, has championed this initiative over the past ten years as part of his mission to uplift residents in need.

This year’s giveaway, supported by Pastor Jerry Smith and Rabbi ABE Friedman, marks a significant milestone in the township's efforts to promote compassion and community spirit.

Joining Mayor Vauss at the event will be Craig Mainor and Congresswoman LaMonica McIver of the 10th Congressional District.

Together, they will celebrate the importance of giving during the holiday season and reflect on a decade of generosity.

In addition to the turkey distribution, Mayor Vauss will host his Annual Thanksgiving Grab-and-Go Lunch on November 25, 2024.

The lunch will be held at the Irvington Neighborhood Improvement Corporation, located at 346 16th Avenue.
