A 45-year-old Essex County man has been linked to at least two Jersey City bank robberies.
According to police, Mark Macon, of Irvington, was arrested this morning by the department's Major Case Unit, and charged with at least two robberies.
Officials said Macon robbed the TD Bank on 18th Street on April 19 and took off with $700.
Police say on Apr. 23th he robbed the Chase Bank on Washington Boulevard of approximately 1,000.00.
Authorities said Macon gave the bank teller a note demanding money.
Officials said Macon is also being investigated for a bank robbery that occurred Jan. 13th in Union.
