An armed robbery of a gas station has Irvington Township authorities investigating.
The incident was reported at the Shell Gas Station located in the 600 block of Lyons Avenue where police were called to the scene before 5 a.m. for reports of an armed robbery in progress.
Upon officer's arrival, they were told by employees that a male suspect arrived at the establishment in a white Jeep and announced the holdup.
The suspect was described as a black male who was last seen wearing dark clothing, reportedly took an unspecified amount of cash before fleeing the scene.
There were no physical injuries reported.
