EMS transported one person to University Hospital in Newark after a crash caused serious injuries in Irvington.
According to preliminary reports, the crash happened at the intersection of Hawthorne Avenue and South 20th Street shortly before 11 p.m. where emergency responder rushed to the scene of an accident with injuries reported.
Upon their arrival, crews found a car crashed into a pole with an injured person at that location.
The Irvington Police department will look into what caused the crash.
