Hudson County authorities are investigating the stabbing death of a woman on Tuesday, February 7.
According to West New York Police, at approximately 5:54 a.m., officers were notified of an injured person at 4914 Murphy Place.
Police say responding officers located the lifeless body of a 24-year-old woman with apparent stab wound(s), and she was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:31 a.m.
The Cause and Manner of Death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
According to authorities, the victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification to her next of kin.
A person of interest is in custody at Hackensack University Medical Center.
This matter is being investigated as an act of domestic violence, and additional information is unavailable now.
