Passaic County authorities announced that at approximately 6:07 p.m. on May 22, Paterson Police responded to the area of West Broadway and Matlock Street in Paterson on a report of shots fired.
According to Paterson Police, officers located a potential crime scene as well as a 37-year-old female Paterson resident suffering from a non-fatal gunshot wound.
Police said aid was immediately rendered, and she was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment.
A short while later, a 35-year-old male East Orange resident arrived at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson via private vehicle seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
