Passaic County authorities announced that at approximately 4:10 p.m. on May 1, members of the Passaic Police Department responded to the area of State Street and Aspen Place on reports of shots fired.
According to Passaic Police, upon arrival, police located a potential crime scene, but no victim was found.
Police say a short time later; officers were advised that a twenty-one-year-old male Passaic resident arrived at Saint Mary’s General Hospital in Passaic seeking treatment for non-fatal gunshot wounds.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
