In Newark's Central Ward, police are investigating a shots fired incident that occurred on Monday night.
Authorities were notified of gunfire on the West Kinney Street side of Felix Lane just before 10 p.m.
Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement discovered shell casings, prompting them to call for assistance from Newark's Shooting Response Team.
After conducting a thorough search of the area, no victims were found.
The motive behind the shooting remains under investigation, and as of now, no arrests have been made.
Police are actively working to gather more information and piece together the events leading up to the gunfire.
