Police are continuing to investigate a stabbing incident that left a male injured in Paterson Sunday.
Officials at St. Joseph's Hospital notified police when the victim entered the emergency room suffering a stab wound in the neck around 2:25 p.m.
Officers were sent to the intersection of Rosa Parks Boulevard and 12th Avenue to search for a potential crime scene.
Police believe that the victim and an unidentified person engaged in a verbal confrontation that resulted in a violent attack.
The motive for the stabbing is under investigation and no arrests have been reported.
