Police in Jersey City are continuing to investigate an incident where several people were stabbed in a neighborhood on Monday evening.
According to preliminary reports, police have not identified a suspect nor did they announce an arrest in the incident that occurred at around 6 p.m. in the 100 block of Union Street where reports of a stabbing had police officers racing to the scene to investigate.
Arriving officers found three victims suffering apparent stab injuries with one of the victims seriously injured according to reports.
All of the victims were rushed to Jersey City Medical Center were doctors treated their wounds.
Police say detectives investigating at the crime scene located a weapon and other evidence. The Jersey City Police Department will handle the investigation.
