A 24-year-old Belleville man accused of driving intoxicated was arrested Monday night after crashing into two cars and injuring one person.
Police responded to the area of Route 3 and Rutherford Avenue sometime around 8:30 p.m. for a report of a crash.
Arriving officers were confronted by witnesses, who told them a vehicle struck their vehicle head-on, backed away and drove off. The passenger of the vehicle reportedly only suffered minor injuries, according to police.
A short time later, a second crash was reported in the area of Lake and Summit Avenues in Lyndhurst.
At the scene, police found Hernandez standing by his disabled vehicle after he struck a parked car at that location.

He was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center to be treated for intoxication.
