A mid October shooting that was reported on RLS Metro Breaking News now has police announcing the arrest of two suspects who they said are responsible.
According to Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose, **Kyree J. Miller, 23, and Kareem Barnes, 24,** both of Newark, are responsible for a shooting that occurred on Monday, October 17, 2016.
Authorities said at approximately 10:39 a.m., police responded to the area of Clinton Place and St. James Place on a call of shots fired.
Officers discovered two vehicles that had been struck by gunfire at the scene authorities said.
After an intense investigation, detectives discovered that a male victim was shot at by two armed suspects who arrived in the area in a vehicle Director Ambrose said.
The suspects then fled the scene in the vehicle.
Detectives determined that Kyree J. Miller and Kareem Barnes are suspects in this shooting.
The Honorable Marvin Adames, J.M.C., issued a $200,000.00 warrant for each suspect.
Detectives of the 5th Precinct arrested both suspects today. Miller and Barnes are each charged with Aggravated Assault, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.
These charges are merely accusations.
The suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
