EMS transported one person to an area hospital after a shots fired incident connected on the victim overnight in Elizabeth.
Police were called to the 800 block of East Jersey Street after receiving reports of shots fired shortly before 9:45 p.m.
Units arrived at the scene found an unidentified male suffering a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the buttocks according to reports.
Police search the area for the shooter by there were no reports of arrests as of early Sunday morning.
There were no other injuries reported.
