Police in East Orange are investigating a car crash that caused injuries in a neighborhood in the city overnight.
The violent crash happened on Rhode Island Avenue between Eppirt and Shepard before midnight where emergency responders rushed to the scene to find a severely damaged vehicle overturned at that location.
According to preliminary reports, the car lost control and struck two mailboxes then a street before going airborne and striking at least one parked vehicle.
EMS transported at least two people to the hospital, but the extent of the victim's injuries have not been released.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
