An early morning fire that tore through a house in Woodbridge is under investigation.
Firefighters rushed to the scene of a fire that broke out in a house located in the 100 block of Cooper Avenue at around 1:30 a.m.
Crews arriving on the scene found fire coming from the first the first floor of a two-story house according to fire officials.
Firefighters were able to make entry into the home where they assisted several occupants who were transported to an area hospital for smoke inhalation.
Heavy fire had extended to the attic of the house before firefighters brought the blaze under control shortly before 2 a.m.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
