A reported shooting that occurred in Carteret overnight has police investigating.
Reports of shots fired sent police to the 90's block of Bristol Station Court at around 8:30 p.m. where arriving officers located a29-year-old Hillside man suffering from three gunshot wounds to the abdomen according to reports.
A medevac helicopter was requested to transport victim to Universoty Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
The incident is under investigation.
