Belleville Police requested assistance from several surrounding town police departments break up a large fight at an outdoor seating area of a restaurant Friday night.
According to a preliminary investigation, police were called to reports of a physical altercation that erupted between several people in the 500 block of Joralemon around 11:15 p.m.
Residents who said they witnessed the incident for their next-door apartment building told RLS Media, several customers using the outside dining area at Michael's Roscommon House engaged in a violent physical dispute.
Officers were able to bring the incident under control in a short amount of time but not before at least one person suffered a non-fatal head injury at that location.
The cause of the incident is under investigation.
