Orange Police are looking into the motive for a shooting that injured a man Sunday night.
At approximately 9:10 p.m., Orange police officers responded to reports of shots fired near 179 Central Place, prompting a police investigation.
Upon arrival, police reportedly located the adult male victim suffering gunshot wounds in his stomach at that location.
The victim was taken to University Hospital in Newark for treatment. The extent of his condition has not been released at this time.
Police are looking for a black or dark-colored vehicle occupied by 3-4 black male suspects who fled the scene and are at large.
Officers canvassing the scene found multiple shell casings near the location.
Orange Police will investigate the shooting and no other victims were located.
