One person was killed in a crash on a busy interstate in Mercer County Saturday morning.
According to a preliminary investigation, at approximately 4:50 a.m., NJ State Police responded to reports of a crash with injuries in the southbound lanes of I-295 near mile marker 55 in Hamilton Township.
When State Troopers arrived, they found a severely damaged vehicle with a person heavily trapped inside.
Police said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to officials, a crime scene unit was notified while officers investigated the cause of the crash.
There were no other severe injuries reported.
