Hudson County Schools of Technology held its 2022 Industry Partner Breakfast on Tuesday at the Frank J. Gargiulo Campus to recognize the invaluable educational and professional contributions made by HCST’s many industry partners throughout the state.
The event also provided an opportunity for partners to network with each other, as well as with teachers and staff who were in attendance, along with a group of student ambassadors and alumni who work for the district.
“Hudson County Schools of Technology is dedicated to providing a high quality, diverse career and technical education across all of our campuses to ensure that our students are set up for success in their chosen fields,” said Amy Lin-Rodriguez, HCST Superintendent.
“The partnerships that we have built with leaders in so many different industries have provided our students with an incredible opportunity for career development and professional training before they graduate. It was wonderful to be able to honor their contributions to the district!”
Industry partners present at the event were given commemorative plaques recognizing their commitment to helping HCST students gain exposure to career and technical education.
Companies and organizations honored included the Hudson County Improvement Authority, New Jersey Army National Guard, Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office, Eastern Millworks, Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care, and many more.
“We couldn’t be more grateful to all of our incredible industry partners throughout Hudson County and the rest of the state,” said Amy DeGise, HCST Apprenticeship/Internship Coordinator, Department of Career Planning & Development.
“Providing our students with real-world professional experience, whether they choose to continue studying after they graduate high school or go directly into the workforce, is central to HCST’s mission, and we couldn’t do it without the support of so many industry leaders who have been committed to working with our students to prepare them for success.”
The Hudson County Schools of Technology is dedicated to providing substantive Career and Technical Education programs across all of its campuses.
Not only do students receive a state-of-the-art academic education, but they graduate with the skills necessary to move forward in their chosen career path, whether through continued training at a college or technical program or by entering directly into the workforce.
