Police in Passaic checked a location in the city for a crime scene after a gunshot victim entered St. mary's Hospital overnight.
Police say at approximately 11:30 p.m., officials at the medical center contacted police when an unidentified male arrived suffering a non-life threatening bullet wound.
According to police, the victim reported being shot on Hudson Street before coming to the hospital.
Police checked the area for a crime scene and launched an investigation into the motive for the shooting.
The victim is expected to recover.
