Paterson Police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning, leaving one person hospitalized.
The incident took place around 1:10 a.m. near the intersection of Main Street and Weiss Street.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered shell casings and other evidence indicating a shooting had occurred.
An unidentified individual, who was reportedly struck in the leg, was transported to St. Joseph's Medical Centre for treatment.
The victim's condition has not been released and police said that they were taken to the medical center in a private vehicle.
According to reports, the suspect has not been captured, and the investigation into the shooting remains active.
Paterson Police are continuing to gather evidence and are seeking any information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect involved.
