Authorities in Passaic County are investigating a shooting incident that occurred Saturday night in Paterson, which resulted in one person being injured.
The incident came to light when a gunshot victim was admitted to St. Joseph's Medical Center around 9:25 p.m.
Detectives on the case learned from interviews that the shooting took place in the 70's block of Lyon Street before the victim was transported to the hospital by a private vehicle.
The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office has been notified and has taken charge of the investigation.
The police have not disclosed the motive behind the shooting. Investigations are ongoing as authorities work to uncover more details about the incident.
