Homicide Investigation Underway in New Brunswick After Fatal Stabbing

Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone reported an active investigation into a homicide that occurred late Wednesday night in New Brunswick.

On Webesday at around 10:55 p.m., police responded to a 911 call reporting a severely injured individual on Seamen Street.

Upon arrival, officers found Gonzalo Napoleon Quispez-Parades, a 23-year-old New Brunswick resident, unconscious on the sidewalk with a deep abdominal wound.AdHe was pronounced dead at the scene.

The initial investigation, conducted by Detective Sean Freeman of the New Brunswick Police Department and Detective Stephanie Redline of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, revealed that Quispez-Parades had been involved in a physical altercation resulting in his fatal injuries.

Authorities have indicated that this was not a random act, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.

Officials are urging anyone with information or surveillance footage related to the incident to contact Detective Freeman of the New Brunswick Police Department at 732-745-5200.
