Police say they recovered two weapons at the scene of a home invasion robbery that occurred in a section of Newark's South Ward during the overnight hours.
According to a preliminary investigation, armed suspects forced entry into a home in the 40's block of Eckert Avenue just before 10 p.m.
Police have not confirmed what the suspects took during the incident, but there were no injuries reported.
The men fled the scene but discarded one of their weapons in the rear yard of the home and police set up a second crime scene in the 40's block of Bock.
The incident remains under investigation and no arrests have been reported.
