Two suspects that stormed into a residence then robbed and injured an occupant in Jersey City has authorities on the search for their whereabouts.
Police were called to a residence located in the 50's block of Van Reipen Ave. at around 12:30 a.m. on reports of a burglary in progress.
Units arriving to the scene found one occupant inside the residence reportedly suffering a stab injury to the leg.
The victim told police that two black males (who were wearing dark clothing and masks) forced their way into the home armed with knives before ordering cash and other items from the victim.
The suspects became physically violent during their demands which ultimately caused one of the suspects to stab the victim in the leg shortly before fleeing the scene.
The men reportedly fled the scene in a silver or light colored Jeep Cherokee before they took over $2000 in cash according to the victim.
EMS treated the victim for a non-life threatening injury to the leg.
