The Academy of the Holy Angels released its first Epiphany Concert video on January 6. Members of the public are invited to enjoy the concert, which AHA President Melinda Hanlon described as “a beautiful and collaborative effort.”
“We believe that, on Epiphany, the three kings brought gifts to the newborn Christ child. How appropriate that today we share the gift of music provided by our students,” AHA Performing Arts Director Daniel Mahoney said.
Mahoney noted that this presentation was produced in accordance with COVID safety protocols. Each student performed her part individually and submitted her video clip to Instrumental Music Director Mariann Annecchino or Choral Director Lisa Marciano.
Marciano and Annecchino reviewed each video and forwarded the recordings to professional sound engineer Joe DeVico, who synchronized the clips to coordinate the final concert.
“I would be remiss if I did not publicly thank Mrs. Annecchino and Mrs. Marciano for the incredible amount of work they did to help their students make this video a reality,” Mahoney said. He also thanked the administration, parents, and Angels in the Arts members.
This special presentation features seasonal selections by the AHA Concert Choir and AHA Vocal Ensemble, the Academy Orchestra, and Select Strings.
Award-winning artist Julia Fernandez (AHA ’21) designed this year’s program. Fernandez sings with the choir and vocal ensemble.
