Police are investigating an early morning shooting that left a man injured in the city.
EMS transported a male victim to an area hospital suffering serious injuries after gunfire rang out in the 800 block of Madison Street shortly before 4 a.m. striking the man.
Police arrived to the area to find the victim had been struck by gunfire and quickly set up a crime scene in the area.
An investigation is underway into the motive for the shooting.
