Police in Newark are looking for the driver of a vehicle who fled the scene of a crash that damaged a post office in downtown Newark Wednesday morning.
It happened around 2:10 a.m. in the 20's block of Franklin Street.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the location after the driver of a vehicle slammed into the U.S. Post Office building causing damage to a portion of the building closer to Mulberry Street.
Initially, police believed that several occupants were inside the car, but after a search, authorities learned that the driver and others had fled the scene.
The driver remains at large.
