Authorities in Essex County are investigating the motive behind a shooting that killed a Union County man in Irvington Township Saturday.
Just before dawn, police responded to reports of shots fired in the area of Smalley Terrace and Oak.
When officers arrived, they found a 22-year-old Rasheed Bell, Hillside resident, suffering gunshot wounds.
Police said bell succumbed to his injuries.
The Irvington Police Department is investigating the matter along with The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.
