Heroin, Hypodermic Needles Recovered in Hamilton Township Traffic Stop; Two Arrested

The New Jersey State Police announced the arrests of Brian Schaller, 32, and Timothy Yeoman, 28, both from Brick, after officers seized 50 bags of heroin during a car stop.

According to police, on Tuesday, January 30, at 2:05 p.m., troopers stopped Schaller for a traffic violation eastbound on Interstate 195 at milepost 1 in Hamilton Township, Mercer County. During the stop, troopers determined that Schaller was under the influence and arrested him for DWI.

After a further investigation, they discovered that Schaller and Yeoman were in possession of $250 worth of heroin, hypodermic needles, and that Schaller had an active arrest warrant.

Police charged Brian Schaller with possession of heroin, failure to disclose a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of hypodermic needles, criminal under the influence, and DWI while police charged Timothy Yeoman with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of hypodermic needles.

They were both released pending a court appearance.

Charges are mere accusations and the suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty
