Police took a Plainfield man into custody and charged him with attempting to commit a burglary in Harrison overnight.
Harrison Police received a call for a male stealing a bicycle from a backyard on South Third Street at around 2:00 a.m. this morning (Sunday) according to authorities.
Officers, already heavily patrolling the area, swiftly arrived to the scene where they observed the male suspect attempting to pry the lock from the bicycle at that location.
Police arrested Kevin Green, 57, of Plainfield and charged with, burglary, theft, and possession of drugs for paraphernalia that officers reportedly found in Green's possession.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
