Firefighters are on the scene of a raging fire that broke out in a building in a Newark neighborhood a short time ago.
Heavy fire tore through the structure located in the 100 block of South 7th Street just after 6 a.m. sending firefighters to the scene where they observed fire ripping through the top floor of the vacant building.
Crews are attacking flames from the exterior as they attempt to make their ways into the building to check for trapped and injured occupants.
