Hackettstown Hosts 11th Annual Halloween Downtown Event

The 11th Annual Halloween Downtown Event is set to bring spooky fun to the community on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., centered around The Gazebo at Main Street and West Moore Street.AfFestivities will kick off with a parade, starting with the lineup at Centenary University on West Moore Street between Beatty Street and Second Avenue at 2:00 p.m.

Judging for costumes will wrap up around 2:50 p.m., with winners chosen to lead the parade.

The parade itself begins at 3:00 p.m., making its way down West Moore Street to the Main Street Gazebo.

Participants and spectators alike can look forward to a variety of treats.

Kids will have the opportunity to collect candy from Mars Wrigley, gifts from Hackettstown Stormwater Management, Atlantic Health System/Hackettstown Medical Center, Wawa, and WRNJ Radio, as well as a free pumpkin courtesy of Donaldson Farms, while supplies last.

Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes in several categories, including:

- Infant to 3 years old

- 4 to 6 years old

- 7 to 10 years old

- Family group costumes

- Pets of any age

After the parade, children can enjoy Trick-or-Treating at participating downtown businesses and a special Trunk-or-Treat event in the rear parking lot of Trinity United Methodist Church, located at 213 Main Street, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.AdWith a blend of community spirit, family fun, and plenty of candy, Hackettstown’s Halloween Downtown Event promises a festive afternoon for all ages.
