Police in Hackensack are investigating an overnight robbery of a Chinese food restaurant that occurred in the city.
The incident was reported in the 200 block of Essex Street at around midnight where police responded to a call for an armed robbery in progress.
Units arrived at the scene and were informed by employees that a black male, who was dressed in all black, walked into the establishment armed with a gun and demanded cash.
The suspect took an unknown amount of money before running from the scene.
Authorities said that the suspect was in possession of a gun and wearing a mask.
There were no physical injuries reported.
