Police in Irvington Township are investigating a shooting that injured a person Wednesday afternoon.
Shortly before 3 p.m., police responded to reports of an injured person in the vicinity of Hopkins Place and Ellis Avenue.
Upon arrival, police found a gunshot victim suffering a bullet wound in their leg at that location.
The victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
No arrests have been reported.
