Police in Paterson located a crime scene in a section of the city they believe is connected with a shooting that injured a person on Monday night.
According to police, officials at St. Joseph's Hospital notified police after a 28-year-old male gunshot victim entered the emergency room suffering a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Police say the victim is expected to recover from the arm injury.
Officers were pointed to the area of Broadway and 23rd Street, where police did find shell casings, but no other victims were located.
The motive for the attack has not been released at this time.
The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office has been notified of the shooting.
