Police in Newark are looking for a suspect wanted for a gunpoint carjacking in the city's west district Wednesday evening.
Officers were dispatched to the area of 16th Avenue and South 20th Street to investigate reports of a carjacking in progress around 7:10 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers learned that an armed suspect had taken the victim's white Dodge Charger before fleeing.
The vehicle head reported temporary license plate number "Z200123".
No physical injuries were reported.
