Police arrested two suspects who were reportedly occupying a carjacked vehicle last night near the Isaiah House in the city.
East Orange authorities did not immediately return a request for information, but frightened residents in the 70's block of South 14th Street observed several police officers with guns drawn on at least two men who were occupying the vehicle that came to a halt in the middle of the street.
According to reports, one of the suspects bailed from the vehicle and removed a jacket when officers pulled their service weapons and ordered the man to the ground.
It is not immediately clear where the carjacking occurred, and there were no injuries reported.
A white vehicle was towed from the scene.
