Police in Paterson are on the search for the suspect who fired over a dozen round in a city neighborhood Sunday morning.
According to police, gunfire rang out in the vicinity of 73 Oak Street at approximately 1:30 a.m., sending police to the scene to investigate. Police say the ShotSpotter activation indicated about 16 rounds of gunfire.
Officers arrived at the scene found evidence that a shooting occurred, but during a search of the neighborhood, officers did not locate any victims.
Police found that bullets struck property during their canvass of the crime scene.
The suspect fled and remains at-large.
