Police in Newark are looking for the gunman who shot up a neighborhood in Newark’s West Ward this evening.
Officers scrabled to the vicinity of South 19th Street and 14th Avenue after residents ducked for cover inside their homes when a shooter fired multiple rounds at several targets in the community around 5:15 p.m.
Police taped the area off after they found multiple shell caings spanning through half of South 19th Street.
Authorities are continuing to check hospitals in the region for potential walk in victims but as of 7:30 p.m., no injuries were reported.
The gunman remains at large.
