Police in Jersey City are looking for a suspect wanted for a shots-fired incident that occurred early Saturday morning in the city.
According to police, at approximately 3:57 a.m., police were called to the vicinity of Madison and Communipaw avenues to investigate reports of shots fired.
Units arrived at the scene and found shell casings, but after police checked the neighborhood, no injured victims were found.
Police say they located a male who reported that an armed suspect approached and began to fire at him while he ran a short distance.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
