Police in Newark are searching for suspects who shot a man in a parking lot of a restaurant in the city’s South Ward this morning.
Officers rushed to the area of Frelinghuysen Avenue and Evergreen to investigate reports of shots fired.
When units arrived, they found an unidentified man suffering a gunshot wound in his leg in the 40’s block of Evergreen.
The male victim reported to cops that while in the parking lot of Popeyes, a vehicle pulled up and indiscriminately fired at him before speeding off.
Authorities reported non-life-threatening injuries, and the suspect remains at large.
