Police in Newark are on the search for a gunman who fired shots on a Newark South Ward street this morning -Thursday-.
It happened at approximately 10:50 a.m. where police received notice of shots fired in the vicinity of 127 Peshine Avenue according to preliminary reports.
Units arriving at the scene conducted a search of the area and immediately came across shell casings, but after further canvassing the scene, they found no victims.
Police set up a crime scene where they collected the evidence in an attempt to find a motive for the shooting.
There were no arrests reported.
